Sensory overloads as a result of conditioning

A little context here, I got lucky enough to be diognosed very young and my earliest memory about being told about Asperger’s syndrome is that we apparently hate loud noises.

So from that point on I was taken away if there are too many loud sounds and people were always told to be quiet for me, now I should reveal at this point that I up until this point the only sound that remotely bothered me in any sense was a balloon popping to which I would jump even if I anticipated it.

tldr I was basically conditioned by the adults expectations into being afraid of loud sounds.

Anybody else have a similar experience
