This happened a while ago, but for whatever reason I was just now thinking about it. Long story short, the person I was involved with at the time decided to use Nair, a body hair removal serum, to remove a great majority of their body hair in an effort to entice me. Needless to say I wasn't. Disappointed, they said "I Nair'd and everything for you..." and - I don't remember if I said it out loud or just thought it - but I remember thinking "why? I didn't ask you to?" and remember being really confused at their reaction. Safe to say we didn't last long.
Looking back on it, did I misunderstand something? Was I supposed to show them gratitude to validate their effort, despite me personally having no strong feeling about body hair one way or the other? I'm not quite sure.
I do know that who I'm with now is in tune with what I like as much as I am for them. We haven't had a weird moment like this in the 8 years we've been together ๐งก
