So I’ve been with my spouse for 7 years married for 5 and we are both autistic/neurodivergent. Long story short we are separated now and divorce is on the horizon, we tried to make it work but we are just too different and it doesn’t make sense anymore. This is all incredibly recent as in within the last week, and while dating is the furthest thing from my mind right now I know at some point it won’t be and dating will be a thing for me and same for STBX (this is the first time I’ve referred to her as such and goddammit that hurts to say).
All this to say is the dating scene today as terrible as it seems to be? Is there any hope left and I’d love to hear from some fellow Autistics who have gone through this and come out ok if there are any. While this is ultimately a good thing it still sucks and I’m still sad about it. Thank you for reading if you made it this far.
