I have an autistic friend that I meet at at an old job. We both went our separate ways and we don’t talk much anymore. I sometimes reach out with a text and I get no response. They sometimes reach out and when I respond I get no response. Im wondering what is happening? I dont want to get too pushy and call them, but I want to at least communicate. Its getting kind of stressful. I believe we both lack social skills, but it seems on my end that I am making most of the effort.

And I don’t want to come across as entitled or anything. Everyone needs their own space, but I can’t help but think that our relationship is drifting apart. Am I overreacting?
