Difficulty in judging the passage of time - advice?

Post Body

My lovely son is 17 and has had a diagnosis of ASD for around 10 years. He struggled at school but is doing well at college and has a job. However he has persistent difficulty with concepts of time. For example, if you say "today is Tuesday and we are doing X on Sunday" the interval is meaningless to him. He lacks an understanding of whether something is happening this month or next, or how long he has been doing something (eg thought he had been learning a musical instrument for 2 months when it was actually 9). This causes some problems, eg he nearly missed the deadline for his end of year project, and told his boss the wrong month for his holidays. I don't know how to support him with this, would welcome any suggestions. Thanks!
