I recently heard that Autistic people don't like to greet others but this confused me a little. After all, I LOVE to greet others! Some people found it insanely annoying but I can't help but go "Hi! Hello!" and waving whenever someone comes into the room, even if they just left like a minute ago. I get this little rush of dopamine from it and makes me feel like I made a connection! :D
In fact I like it so much I even do it when there's no one to greet. I just think of the idea of greeting someone and get so happy I do it without thinking, which is insanely embarrassing when someone sees me saying hi and waving to an empty wall lol
So is this just a me thing?
