Need advice if it’s worth the hassle of getting a diagnosis.

Hi just wanted to start this with saying I don’t want to self diagnose for attention or anything like that, but I’m 99% sure I’m autistic.

I live in the uk and it’s a pain to get a diagnosis through the uk’s nhs so is it worth getting a diagnosis does it provide anything worthy to you?

I’ve always struggled in social situations loud environments, recently gone on holiday and on the plane there I was sat right at the back on the isle seat, towards the end of the flight we had people queuing to the toilet, it was awful people brushing up next to me and leaning on my seat stepping on my foot, it was so overwhelming and I shut down, I wanted to cry. Thankfully I have the ear plug things idk but they really help drown out the majority of noises.

My family think I am and my sister is adamant I am, family has a history of neurodivergency.

Thanks guys 😊
