Hey all, I’ve noticed this subreddit has a lot of posts that are negative in nature. I want to preface this by that this subreddit is absolutely a safe place to vent, be heard and validate emotions. It’s really easy to be consumed in the struggles and obstacles we face, and that’s okay. I’d like to make a post about the positives of autism. The good sides society doesn’t understand, the things that make us happy, and our victories. It doesn’t have to be major, but everything positive is welcome here. For me, I’d say a positive trait that I’ve encountered is my special interest in the body. Because of that, I’ve become a paramedic. I’ve done hours, days, weeks and months of intense study to make myself a better medic. To make myself the kind of provider I wish that I or my wife had. I’d love to hear of the positives from all of you too.
