Yesterday I was on the phone with my lovely (🙄) mother and we were talking about Christmas plans. We’re going to my uncles house and I asked her what food would he have there.
she was like “oh my goodness you don’t ask that!”
And I was like why ?? and she was like “you’re a guest”
And I tried to get her to explain to me more how that’s rude, but she just kept saying you’re a guest and not to ask that. But I told her I’m gonna keep doing it anyway because I literally don’t see how that’s rude in any way, shape or form.
Is there something I’m missing? Lol
Edit: I’m not asking because I have any restrictions or anything like that and of course I’m not gonna turn my nose up at anything (tho I don’t think it’ll be that great of course I will still eat it) I literally was just curious
Edit 2: wow this blew up. Thank you all for your input I understand what everyone is saying. I will continue to ask because I don’t think it’s rude haha. In fact I actually saw said uncle today and asked him. He didn’t give me a very detailed answer but he did answer without getting offended or anything so SUCK IT MOM
