I met my current partner in Feb and things have been ok, but the other day she hurt me and made me feel so naive.
She volunteered something private, and encouraged me to as well, which I did. Then when I was done, she just slapped my arm with her umbrella and laughed like it was a joke. I didn't even notice she was holding an umbrella until she hit me with it, and didn't even defend myself. Was it just some joke, or designed to elicit something from me? I tried to ask if she at least meant what she said and she keeps evading.
It makes me feel so naive. I feel like life is just a game to some people, and it hurts.
If she didn't mean what she said, then it was just selfish manipulation and I lost trust in her. If she did mean what she said, then pretending she didn't just makes her a coward and I lost respect for her. Unless I'm missing something? I guess that's a possibility too. I know I can over react sometimes.
I don't like being treated this way, having my trust and openness taken advantage of. Why are NTs like this?
