Do Autistic People Struggle With Makeup?
Post Body

I'm autistic and I was wondering if this applied to anyone else or if I just have some weird hang-up when it comes to makeup.

I feel like it could be a big sensory issue for a lot of people trying to put it on and keep it there, but I also wonder if other people struggle with seeing their loved ones/people they recognize in makeup because it feels like something's off, like there's something uncanny and I can't recognize them fully even though I know exactly who they are, or it's like makeup changes the status quo and I'm not used to seeing people in such a different way, and it makes me uncomfortable.

I don't know, does that make any sense or does it just sound like an excuse? It's the first time I've actually thought of it this way.

Thoughts?
