Being triggered by being talked at β€” is this common?

Post Body

Is it an autism thing? Sometimes β€”even if I haven't had much social contact throughout the dayβ€” I'll feel like my social battery is completely drained. Being talked to (unless it's concise and efficient) is like triggering. The more it goes on, the more I have to pay attention and listen and be "switched on" the more a fight/flight-like feeling rises and I can snap at people or be rude accidentally. It's a serious struggle to try to be patient and tolerant.

Does anyone else have this experience? I seem to have no control over it.
