Can stimulant medication cause anxiety long after it's worn off?

Im on biphentin for adhd. I also have asd. The first couple weeks it cured my anxiety. Now my anxiety is through the roof but its not mental. It's purely physical anxiety symptoms. I have a lot of stressful stuff going on so I can't tell if it's that or the meds but the meds only last 12 hours and I feel it as soon as I open my eyes in the morning. Can meds that last 12 hours still be causing anxiety 24 hours later? To describe the physical symptoms it's exactly the feeling you'd get if you were standing on the ledge of a skyscraper looking down.
