I feel like Iām often being targeted by road rage for obeying the speed limit.
I donāt drive excessively slowly. I drive within the speed limit. Sometimes, as a result of obviously focusing on the road instead of on my speedometer constantly, I might go a little bit under the speed limit but only by 5-10km. Itās better than speeding.
Most people clearly speed and even WHEN Iām going literally exactly at the speed limit, Iām still frequently being tailgated. And because thatās dangerous, itās distracting.
The person often keeps doing it UNTIL they have a āsaferā opportunity to go around and overtake me. Sometimes, because Iām a human being, thatās when I lose my temper and blast them with my horn.
I donāt think Iām in the wrong for:
a) driving with the speed limit!
b) responding with anger to being tailgated which is a blatantly aggressive driving behaviour and people on Reddit have even SAID they do it literally to try to āpromptā the person in front of them to go fasterā¦. Well it doesnāt WORK if youāre driving at that speed to DRIVE SAFELY AND because you want to avoid tripping a speed camera!
