I'm planning on coaching other people with autism since I have a background in teaching including special education and my own autism gives me insight into what people struggle with. However I'm also conscious that autism, being the spectrum it is, comes in many different forms: as do its stress triggers.
For instance, I personally find socialising FUN and emotionally fulfilling if I have the energy for it but if I'm exhausted which I typically am (from the nature of my work/day job, which is not yet any form of coaching), then being tired already and forcing myself to do something energetic, it just becomes stressful. As a result, I don't socialise very often because I need that scarce energy far too much for physical exercise/workout out. Another example is that I hate grocery shopping if there's proximity to other supermarket customers because I'm touchy about my personal space: and most people don't understand where exactly mine is or why it matters.
What are your biggest sources of stress in your life which you feel autism definitely contributes to?
