Elon is right. Government overspending causes inflation because they have to print money to make up the difference.

Technically correct, sure, it is *a* cause of inflation, although far from the only one. Problem is, for people like him âoverspendingâ is code for âspending on things we donât like even if itâs objectively contributing to long-term growthâ.
