I'm a Marine here in the United States, and considering moving to Australia, as I have heard wonderful things about it, but still wish to remain in a military career. I was just wondering if anybody had and opinions or experience, and could give me some helpful hints or advice, maybe what life is like and/or general opinions of the military over there.
Some main questions
How is the military viewed? Publicly/privately
In the public eye, are they treated well? Payed well?
What is the current climate for them? Wartime/Peacetime?
Were I to decide to join, how/where would I get started?
