I am planning a girl's trip to Austin this winter with my sister and two friends. None of us have ever been to Austin (we all live in the DFW area) and I since it's a 3 hour drive down there we planned to leave early in the morning and arrive around 9amish. I know we'll be hungry but I don't want to stop at a McDonald's or some other typical fast food place. I want us to experience and enjoy something local and some genuinely good food.
Now as I mentioned, we are coming down either in the beginning of November before Thanksgiving, or the beginning of December before Christmas. Not sure why that matters, but anyways if you guys have any suggestions for restaurants that serve a good breakfast it would really help me narrow down my options.
I guess I should mention we are all pretty typical in our tastes. So we all like scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, etc. Basically the typical breakfast foods but we wouldn't mind trying something new and unique.
