Where I'm from, trucks and food stands are cheap as hell and are frequented by poor people and working class people like construction workers.
Why is it that all of them cost so much more than a sit down restaurant around here?
You're not paying a bunch of staff and servers.
You don't have to worry about the lease on a building.
Operating costs like electricity and water are much less.
The portions are never as big as a sit down restaurant.
I'm really not trying to be ignorant, but where are all these costs coming from? I understand that a vehicle costs to maintain, but no way it's as much as a full blown restaurant.
