Comfort food recommendations?

My company is having a couple of guests come in from out of town. I’m looking for a good Austin/Texan place to take them for Friday night dinner that has good regular food, isn’t douchey, and near downtown or the east side. I’m not trying to impress them with the hip food scene or expensive dinners, just a unique place where friends can sit and eat together.
Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
