I'm so upset with how long it takes APD to respond to calls. This weekend two underprivileged young males assaulted me while I was charging my Nissan Leaf at a charging station in front of Target.
They took the credit card I had in the charger and the nearly full cartoon of Almond Milk I'd purchased in Target. I still had my iphone 6s which they did not want. After walking around a few blocks to get a good signal from my Cricket cellpone service, was able to get a decent signal and call 911.
I told them what had happened and they said they'd send a car as soon as possible. I waited three fucking hours for APD to show up, and then they basically did nothing. Had they shown up sooner the y perhaps could have caught the underprivileged youths, recovered my credit card and let the youths go on their merry way, which after this incident certainly will go on to become productive citizens if they're not slaughtered by APD first.
But my more pressing concern is in getting better APD response time while punitively reducing APD funding and redirecting it to unhoused individuals who are obviously mentally ill.
Funding? Thatโs not the problem.
They are a unionized criminal organization free of consequences.
