I'm trying to write a defamation law essay for one of my university subjects, but I can't for the life of me figure out whether or not the Social Media Bill (2022) has been passed, and if the things it proposes are presently enforced by law. Anyone know how I can concretely determine whether something is legal or not by Australian law? Google is remarkably unhelpful here.
I understand (or at least I think I do) that it isn't always a yes or no, but if someone could even just help me out with this example, I'd be greatly appreciative.
