I’m getting very frustrated in my job search. I’m an IT professional with extensive management experience especially in service delivery and business partnering. Unfortunately owing to a workplace injury I’m trying to get back into the market. At the moment, I just want to work, I don’t care if it’s in a different industry or lower level, in fact that might be good for my health. I’m up to almost 200 applications without any luck. Not only that but when I call recruiters asking for feedback they actually list off things I have on my cv. I know the market is bad, but this is silly. Especially when there are financial insentives for companies hiring injured workers.
Prior to my injury I was getting head hunted 2-3 times a month.
So it would be helpful to know how hiring managers are culling applications so I can avoid the reject pile.
