Just received my headphones and they are great. I bought it refurbished on bestbuy for 69 CAD. No fancy packing, just a white cardboard box with a sticker and a couple cables which are ok, but slimer than the ones you get with m50x. In terms of sound - as good as m50x, sits good on my head, the foam pads are bigger diameter than they were on m50x, so my big ears fit in, but I think I replace them with beefier brainwavz ovals when they wear. For equalizing the frequency response for my ears (I'm 33 and I checked my hearing so I can hear around 18khz in my age 🫣 which is incredibly good) I dropped highs a little and added more bass for my taste. I check the headphones with "metallica -sad but true" and "ratm - Maggie's farm" and with my heavy basses it holds amazingly good vibrating on my head at maximum volume. The downsides comparing to m50x: 1. Cheaper materials, but still doesn't look any bad 2. Cheaper design - you can't fold it and rotate the cups 3. Cheaper cables - I don't think it will survive ages because it's like a cheap PVC isolation on regular wires
Conclusion: If you plan to use it most of the time at home - perfect, for everyday caring in a backpack - m50x
