Fair warning to you all: this is a bit more dudebro-y than my other work! This is not the soothing BFE I've done before, so you've been warned. I wanted to post this during Mental Health Month, but ironically my own mental health got in the way of getting this up when I wanted!
Here's the scene: you are meeting a me, your long time friend, for lunch, and we haven't seen each other since before COVID. We are gonna get some food, have a couple beers, and have a much needed catch up. A small, self-deprecating comment from you makes me concerned and opens a discussion where we talk about feelings (*GASP*) and struggles with mental health.

Though presented here as an RP, this is a candid piece, and is 100% built from (but not entirely directly based on) my own experiences with myself and my small circle of male friends. I made this to try to help tackle the stigma that surrounds men and mental health, as I struggle with it and many others do, too. If you are struggling, you are NOT alone, struggling does not make you weak, and getting help in fact makes you strong.
