Crossover amp question

ok say I'm making a cross over amp with two eqs. one eq is a -24db HPF at 200hz, and the other is an LPF also at 200hz. I assume at 200hz there will actually be more amplitude because the two filters aren't actually stopping exactly at 200hz.
So my question is, how would I calculate how far to separate the two filters so that 200hz (or wherever I want a crossover) so that there isn't a boost where they overlap?
