I've got this pair of Sennheiser Hd280 pro headphones that I really like to use for reference, only thing is it's got a curly cable that weighs about 12 pounds and annoys the shit out of me for various reasons. I'd like to replace it with a straight cable, but there is NO WHERE that seems to supply such a thing (Sennheiser has some weird snap in model microchip thing behind the ear cap on these). The only resort I'm seeing is to snip it and shrink wrap in another straight cable from an old pair of headphones or whatever. Sennheiser took a week to get back to me (i'm sure they're super busy) and they didn't seem to understand what i was looking for, suggesting that I wait for more of their curly cables to get back in stock...
Any tips? Help? Didn't find anything on ebay...
Thanks.
