Today when coming back from work, I took my noise cancelling headphones off and suddenly it felt like my left ears was blocked, there was a faint ringing but when I would speak there was a strange frequency sound; after a hot shower the ringing became much louder and my left ear more sensitive; with the frequency âwarbleâ becoming a lot louder Aswell.
Kinda freaking out at the moment and was wondering if anyoneâs experienced this? Possible causes would be a light cold im coming down from and a few days ago I was at an exceptionally loud gig
Your symptoms sound super similar to mine, trying to see a doctor today :)
I usually wear ear protection at gigs but at this specific one I had forgotten them and couldnât really move, unfortunate but hopefully itâs not an issue as only happened the once
Thanks mate, will take a trip to the GP tomorrow just to be safe! Hearing seems perfectly fine on both sides for the time being just the ringing and weird frequency stuff when speaking, I often get my ears checked out so try to stay on top of these things
I had my ears checked a month or two ago and there was 0 wax build up, can it come on this quickly?
Thanks man thatâs made me abit more hopeful, thatâs great advice :)
Will do, came on really suddenly; it doesnât feel as blocked as it did earlier in the day but the ringing became more prevalent; the left nostril is also blocked, I wonder if thatâs related?

Sounds like the same experience as me, panic attack and all; glad to hear it reset quickly, really unnerving
