I’m very new to contracts and invoices, I’m 23, never had an internship or mentor, just friends I recorded that led to more friends to clients to opening a small studio and then some industry work. Kinda got burned on a project, got paid, but they 100% took advantage of the fact there was no contract. Definitely am extremely lucky to not have been burned any harder but trying to avoid for the future.

I’ve been doing research, but I’d like to hear from others here how you go about them both.

I have a pretty general understanding now, but if anyone can provide examples (obv not sharing your templates unless open to it) and maybe little things they included that they didn’t at first that bit you in the butt one time and you’ll never let it happen again.

I will admit, I have never created an invoice. If anyone could share a picture of one, I’d really appreciate it.
