An audiobook set in a fantasy world...

Hi everyone, so the audiobook I'm looking for has a fantasy medieval setting and one of the main characters is a torturer who had been tortured himself and was a nobleman son and handsome before but now is pretty much crippled and speaks with a lisp (as most of his teeth were pulled out).
I forgot the name and its been awhile but the ending was a bit of a cliffhanger since there should have been a part 2 by now! Any idea which one it is?
