Over the past six months I have been really getting into audiobooks. I try to alternate between nonfiction and fiction books. I am looking for a new fiction series to start. I have "read" the Reckoners series and loved it. I can't wait for Calamity. It was well written and the narration was pretty good. I enjoyed Ready Player One. The Martian was great. I am currently on the fourth book of the Joe Ledger series by Jonathan Mayberry. Ray porter is an amazing narrator and he really got me involved with the characters. The problem is the stories are lacking now. They are getting Cornier as they go.
I was hoping you guys might have a suggestion for another good series to start. I liked the whole secret agent adventure thing. This is going to sound stupid, but I'm a gun guy and I really like it when they reference real life firearms and stuff. I think it's one of the reasons I liked Ready Player One because of all of the video game references helps me paint a closer picture in my head. Any action series you guys might recommend for me that might fit the bill? The only one I won't listen to is the Alex Cross series because I won't be able to shake the image of Tyler Perry as the main character. I appreciate the help. It's my first post in the sub, just found it today so let me know if it's not allowed. I just couldn't find much by googling "action adventure audiobook series with gun references and enthralling narration"
