I enjoy the Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Loved the American McGee Alice games. I am looking for something like those games. Damaged main character who needs to travel through the twisted world to hopefully find calm. That calm doesn’t necessarily mean that the main character is not more damaged than at the beginning of the book, just that they have found a way to deal with that trauma. I did try Alice by Christina Henry and wasn’t scratching that itch. Would love it to involve Wonderland is some form it doesn’t have too. For example I went through Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon by Matt Dinniman, and enjoyed it immensely.
