Question on soldering Kimber subwoofer cable to WBT connector
Question on soldering a subwoofer cable to a WBT connector
So I’m pretty sure I’m understanding on how to properly wire this up but I wanted to check with you guys beforehand. So what I’ve got here is a Kimber Cadence subwoofer cable and a Nextgen WBT connector. The casing that comes off the connector to expose the solder points and there is a /- plate for wiring to be soldered to on both sides. I have the cable stripped down to expose some of the main wire and I trimmed away the copper shielding on one side. From my understanding on the and for the source (amp) I am to solder the main wire to the positive and the copper shielding to the negative. On the opposite end going into the subwoofer am I to only solder the main wire into the positive and leave the copper shielding (ground) unattached? Thank you in advance everyone.
