Optical cable doesn't fit all the way in xbox one series X?

So I have an optical cable hooked into my xbox one, for some reason it just hangs there I'm still able to get audio from it but it doesn't fully fit all the way in.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/151380295518 these are the optical cables I bought, did I buy the wrong size? It fits perfectly fine in my astro a40TR headset. Just refuses to plug into my xbox one.
