Need help! Installed a cheap sub and amp setup into my ole truck. And I hear my alternator through my sub. Any tips/tricks?

Bought an ole kicker at Walmart to put In my good ole ford ranger that I’ve been building. When installed the sub I hooked my power up to my battery. Now I hear alternator noises through my sub. Can someone explain in dummy terms??
