Hello! I am sorry this is an awfully elementary question but I can't figure out what the name is of equipment that does some lines in to some lines out.
Basically I have a CA901. And my major frustration with it is that it only uses its speakers when the headphone jack is vacated. So switching from headphones to the speaker means getting under the piano to do so. In addition I also got a better sound system in my home I would likely like to hook it into maybe bypassing its speakers altogether.
In addition I would really like to bypass its own SW when I want to record an idea. I would rather hook in my phone or computer and record it there.
Its IO is
1/4 stereo headphone jack
1/8 stereo headphone jack
1/8 "line in" "unbalanced' jack
1/4" L/MONO, R Line Out
I would be happy if there was some way to essentially mix the piano into multiple outputs. So plug something into the line out or headphone jack that can output to my computer, my speaker system, and my headphones. It would also be cool to be able to like mix between using low volume speaker AND headphones and being able to change the volume of the channels out.
In my mind I need sort of a reverse mixer. One line in, 3 lines out. But I can't really figure out what they are called. I can find like switchers but those seem lower quality and possibly what people use in the audio world.
So what do you call something that "mixes" between multiple outputs?
Another stretch goal would be to figure out if there is a way to use an external machine to play on the devices speakers. Like if I could, I would love to essentially send the pianos audio through the headphone jack, into a mixer, and back into its line in jack so I could listen on headphones AND its speakers... but this sounds likely to cause a feedback loop?
Since it's probably relevant. I dont want decreased audio quality but maybe a bit of noise is ok. I am not hoping to do anything professional here and it just needs to sound good enough for my untrained ears. I would ideally go around 100 budget but certainly whatever device(s) I get for this need to be under 500 if absolutely required.
