Hey all. Like I said I am basically a burger when it comes to audio. My current setup is a USB blue Snowball paired with a set of DT990 250OHM connected to a FX-Audio Dac X6.

I’m looking to mainly upgrade my microphone setup. I’d like to go with a shure sm7b and possibly pair it with the MOTU m2 interface. This is where I start to get confused. I hear a lot of talk about the headset needing an AMP is the motu powerful enough? If not can use the MOTU and Dac in conjunction and not have any audio latency issues?

Should I downgrade headphones and get the shure. Is there a better interface out there that isn’t the GoXLR that is reasonably priced like the Elgato one or the scarlet that would work great with what I have?

If you could give me some suggestions that would be great. Thank you in advance.
