Audible customer service keeps making tickets rather than resolving the original problem

Has anyone else had this experience?

I am trying to merge my audible account with my Amazon account because I signed up for each with different emails and now I can't get audible to work on my new fire tablet. The tablet seems to be set to my Amazon account which is not the same email address as my audible account.

The customer service representatives for Audible keep making a ticket and saying they'll get back to me in 1-2 days, but they don't actually get back to me, then when I contact them and verify my info, they don't merge the accounts, they just make another ticket. The same exact kind of ticket they started with. I don't understand why it's going to take them over a week just to merge an account.
