To give context am based in Hong Kong, have a few Rolexes and an PP, and visited the AP House a few times. However despite that and 2 years plus wait haven't got any further for an RO. The staff were always friendly but they kept trying to push the CODE, which I honestly think is super ugly, particularly the ridiculously oversized numerals on the dial.
While visiting Singapore recently I caught up with my good uni friends. Met my good uni mates GF as well for the first time, and we instantly struck up a conversation about watches because I saw her wearing an aquanaut but turns out she was more heavy in AP. She's been allocated several ROs at her boutique in Malaysia. I mentioned my woes with AP in Hong Kong and she said there was probably much less competition in Malaysia. She also offered to help me out if I ever needed.
My question is whether I just ditch dreams of trying to buy from AP House, because I refuse to buy the CODE, and either have her help me queue for a watch or two I want, or have her introduce me to her boutique? When it comes to watch stock allocation does that make a difference because I would think that Hong Kong naturally gets more stock than Malaysia? Any advice or experiences would be appreciated. Also attached pics of some APs and the price difference. Not large but still 10% less in Malaysia than in HK. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
Thanks! Don't give up on the ROO. That should be feasible. Those are not going for over retail anymore.
Yeah Offshores are going for under retail at the moment (when you factor in taxes). Should be able to get one if a few months. RE a RO, you need to be realistic. Green/Blue dial is not happening as a first piece 99 percent of the time. I just had a meeting with my SA over the weekend and he told me a black dial 15510 (non-anniversary) is doable in a years times.

Good luck! My SA told me market has definitely cooled and they anticipate in the next 1-2 years there being more watches in the cases (probably no RO) and months not years wait times.
