Reselling is frown upon but am I not allowed to sell an AP years down the road acquired from an AD without getting โbannedโ?

I can't imagine AP or even Rolex being upset about selling a watch years later to fund a new piece. It's flipping the watch hours/days later for a huge profit that they do not care for.

Yes. What they do not like (and will get you blacklisted) is being allocated a hot piece and then walking out the door and flipping it for a huge profit.
