Avery Collaboration not Litigation was terrible - spoiled? Out of date? Just not my thing?
Post Body

Just had this last night, bought it from Jax in Cumming over the weekend. Bottle said it was Batch #8, bottled in January 2015 – I don't know a ton about what kind of beer has what kind of shelf life, is this the kind of beer that should still be good this much later?
I always make an effort to try different types of beers when I stock up, and I've liked pretty much everything I've ever had (outside of the few brown ales I've tried, and a couple others). This just tasted awful, I couldn't finish it – but I've never really had a beer clearly gone bad to know if that was the problem. It's a Belgian strong ale – I've generally loved quads and tripels, a quad was actually the first beer I liked, ha – is this something considerably different? Or did I just get a bad bottle, or maybe it was out of date by now? I dunno.
