Can’t get this to post in the main ATL sub so here I am. It has a very generic guideline. Moved here about a month ago, just trying to figure out some of the best ways to meet new people. I’m mid 20s and went a large school in the south, but not many people move to Atlanta, so I’m starting fresh.
Never been one to go to a bar alone (like doesn’t serve food bar) for a night, is this something I should be doing? I like to drink, but I don’t have to. I like breweries. I like to eat out and enjoy finding new coffee places. I have interests and hobbies, but I’m realizing most of those are not really group activities.
I enjoy hip hop/rap, movies, breweries, outdoors, the Braves, so I know there has to be something, but I guess I’m not thinking of how to really put myself out there. It’s one thing to chat someone up at a restaurant or bar, but another to make an actual group of friends. I plan to use the Meetup app for hiking, but a lot of groups don’t seem to be very active. Are there well known or general clubs for things that have a large attendance or following?
What worked for you? If anyone wants to chat or grab coffee feel free to message me too!
