Alright, I'm going to try a new approach for me, which is to share a "success story" of sorts, kinda, to explain what it is I'm looking for.

Earlier in the year, in response to a previous "I just want to make out with a cute girl" post of mine, someone messaged me, interested in what I was suggesting. They had previously had a cuddle buddy of sorts, but split ways for whatever reason. We chatted a bit and then made plans to meet at a cafe/bakery midway between us, with no expectations-- just to feel out the vibes and see if we wanted to progress further.

We met up, and I was fairly nervous, which I usually am on any first "date," but even moreso this time because I had gone to clean my glasses with what I THOUGHT was a cleaning cloth but turned out to be priming glue for a car mount I had gotten previously. 😅 So I basically obliterated my glasses before I had gotten to meet this person properly, and was already off my game before we'd even said a word to one another IRL. Thankfully, we got over that fast, conversation was breezy, we had a fair amount in common (mystery movies & TV, board & tabletop gaming, Latin music, etc.) and there was luckily enough spark to keep things going.

We made plans up meet there again a week later, and that's when the real fun started. We got coffee, chatted a bit more, then retreated back to my car, found a inconspicuous place to park and got to making out, which was super hot. It started off pretty tame, with each of us testing boundaries a bit before getting the okay to progress further. She stopped me short of slipping my hand down my pants, but anything beyond straight kissing was a bonus as far as I was concerned, so I wasn't complaining. Even so, a suggestion was made that maybe that could be a boundary broached the next time around. We eventually parted ways a bit later into the night than either of us had anticipated, but a great time was had, AND there was something to look forward to next week.

We did end up meeting again the week after, and for many weeks after that, eventually going back to her place where things escalated, but also deescalated, as my backseat isn't as accommodating for cuddles. We settled into a real nice rhythm for a while there, having a standing date for dinner, either out somewhere or ordering in, maybe playing a game or two, getting intimate, and then enjoying one another company / cuddles afterwards. We'd talk about things going on in our respective lives, how fucking crazy the world is these days, share theories on what was going to happen next on The Afterparty or Only Murders in the Building, and muse the mental and emotional health improvements that come from a semi-regular dopamine/oxytocin boost... all while tracing the curves of one another's curves with kind caresses. I guess you could call it therapy with benefits. 😄

Arguably the healthiest FWB scenario I've ever been in, and it was great while it lasted, but good things come to an end, etc etc. You know the phrase.

It's been a few months since that ended, and I am deeply craving having something similar back in my life, if possible. I don't expect this will resonate with many people out there, but if a sort of... "quasi-platonic, casually recurring, bananagrams opponent, intimacy partner" type of friend appeals to me, then please reach out. Even with this many words, I can't properly express how nice it was to have this to look forward to week to week.
