First off, my wife and I are Christians. We recently have attended a United Methodist Church for the first time as a married couple (w/ child). What are some challenging questions that I can ask my new pastor to: 1. Find out exactly what he believes as far as his own personal faith goes. 2. Determine his (as a reflection of his congregation) point of view on world events/situations.
I didn't want to ask some christian subreddit/forum because I think they would just start attacking my own personal faiths ect. without actually providing suggestions. So what do You think I should ask him?
I have not attended any formal church since my young childhood vis-Ã -vis participating in easter plays/easter communion ect.. so i do not know exactly what i should look out for.
any other suggestions are welcome.
