Istg I have muted almost over a 100 Indian subReddits. All because people are still living down the sewer. Sometimes I try to have faith in this shithole of a nation and join some subReddits where I think ā€œokay here probably itā€™s all the sane peopleā€ but nah. Absolutely not.

I was on r/offmychestIndia where someone asked about why does religion caste and all that shit matters why canā€™t u just marry someone u love.

And this idiot responded and I quote ā€œ Because it doesn't work. India is a civilization nation. We have a stable structure of society. That's why India is the only oldest civilization thriving. See what is happening in Europe and the US. Their whole civilization is about to collapse. More than 51% of children are fatherless. You have to understand whole society, economics, culture and stability behind it.ā€

Firstly, thereā€™s nothing stable about a society where doctors are getting r@ped. Secondly what is this delusional sense of patriotism? Patriotism is nice but wtf is this? Being a child of a divorced couple is way better than being forced into a house where your parents are ready to cut each otherā€™s throats everyday. lol what is stable in the latter case who knows. Most of the Indian kids are pretty much fatherless too cause of how emotionally distant their fathers are. It causes the same father complex which a child who has never met his father would have.

ā€œIndian is a civilised nation. Itā€™s thrivingā€ yeah maā€™am a county where lizards are not even safe is surely civilised.
