I heard a quote about how religion kills children's natural wonder and amazement. The curiosity. Children are natural scientists this way. I thought the quote was a bit extreme. Then i was arguing with a theist girl i was friends with, I tried to explain how the earth formed naturally, and they showed active denial. They didn't want to learn. they were AFRAID to learn how things actually work. Im almost disturbed at how this works. as a side note this only gets work as adulthood ensues. Wan't of more knowledge is like a muscle that gets stronger the more you know. And religon is like a disease, killing it slowly, and can only be reversed by a strong dosage of medicine (More knowledge) before the whole muscle just dies. It may hurt or taste bitter at first, but you always feel better in the end.
(As and addition I dislike the disease comparison but I couldn't think of a better word.)
