🤦🏽‍♀️ I don’t have any other atheist friends so I just wanted to post it here and let you guys face palm with me. I just... wow.

Edit: this got way more attention than I thought it would. Common questions I’m answering:

My dad is poorly educated, yes, but I consider myself fairly lucky that he’s willing to learn (to an extent) as long as I show him evidence and as long as it doesn’t interfere with his belief in God. As far as I know, he thinks that God created the Big Bang and has been handling evolution? So he does believe the earth is older than 6000 years old. And I’m pretty sure he considers “god, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit” to be the same person which is what I’m assuming he meant when he said Jesus made dinosaurs for us. I hope that clarified some thing’s for everyone. Thanks for ranting with me! I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who deals with family that says and believes outlandish things.
