Likelihood, probability and patterns. Can we use these to draw reasonable conclusions about the big questions of the universe?
Post Body

I find that i'm often met in conversation with people who just believe that EVERYTHING is possible and therefore we shouldn't challenge certain ideas. Regardless of whether or not it appears or doesn't appear to be true.

What do you all think?

Is probability important in these debates?

In my mind we use these rudimentary versions of these to make almost every decision we make in our daily lives... so why not the big questions too?
