I was wondering if there is an explanation neurologically or mentally about this
I mean, I feel like someone’s around me or watching me (not god, just paranoia) and I wonder if it’s the same feeling but they just feel good about it rather than me feeling my anxiety increasing
Does anyone know what christian’s/catholic’s etc are feeling when they say they feel their god’s presence
I grew up christian but have been atheist for years since I was like 12-14 and I don’t recall ever feeling whatever they’re talking about. I just am wondering if there’s an actual mental/psychological phenomenon that’s happening bc then when they’re in doubt they’ll say they’re not feeling his presence or having trouble feeling it
So I’m just confused what it is they’re feeling that they translate to being their god’s presence
