Asserting that there is a being from without the universe who is all-powerful, all-knowing and all-loving, yet refused to create a world without evil despite having the power to do so, somehow gave us all free will despite hand crafting every single moment of our lives and all of our thoughts, and wishes to provide infinite and incomprehensibly painful punishment for temporal crimes, including simply unrepentantly being in a homosexual relationship, is illogical. Particularly because there is no evidence that this kind of being actually exists, and definitionally so, because again, Christians believe he is only from without the universe (yet also maintains a personal relationship with each of us, yet I guess not with people in native tribes who’ve never heard of him).
In order to argue in favor of such a being whose own logic argues against its own existence, you would need to provide tremendous proof, and it’s not incumbent upon the person who doesn’t already believe in something you’ve never demonstrated and never will be able to to provide proof that it doesn’t exist, unless they say, “I have proof that God doesn’t exist.” Not even saying “God doesn’t exist” is enough as that is the default position for one’s belief in anything that has never been shown to them. If I and millions of people don’t believe that there are Magic Love Spiders crawling all over our bodies every second of every day and millions of people do believe that, and there exists zero observable scientific evidence for the notion of Magic Love Spiders, the claim that “Magic Love Spiders exist” requires proof while “Magic Love Spiders don’t exist” doesn’t, because if no scientific evidence exists, you are forced to make some kind of logical or philosophical argument for why they must exist from without our ability to observably detect them, which of course is a positive claim while not observing evidence for the existence of Magical Love Spiders, thus believing they don’t exist in reality and not asserting that they must exist is not a positive claim.
